What aspect of, "18-inch driver" or "weighs a ton" don't you understand?
In your actual life, have you ever laid out money to make something that other people thousands of miles away are going to buy through fourth parties???
Then, perhaps a respectful silence might be the best posture.

I respect Wilson Benesch for their engineering prowess and I own their speakers. I think you are doing them a disservice with your implied comparison to Maserati, whose products are all about style, status, and exclusivity more than performance. If you've listened to the Torus, maybe you can tell us what's so great about it besides having an 18-inch driver and weighing a ton. Those are not great selling points.
I think the design is clever, but I've also read that it doesn't really meet its claimed sub-bass extension, i.e. it's more of a woofer than a subwoofer. From what I've read, reinforced by my own experience with other WB speakers, I would guess that it's best attributes may be speed and transient response.
If it's not really delivering the last octave and below, like a high power DSP sub like JL Audio or big tapped horn sub can do, I think that it is going to be best suited to mating with small speakers. But when you consider the price of the Torus + amp is $12k, you would have to be running speakers like Magico Q1 or Raidho D-1 before it would make sense to even buy one Torus.

Before or after some half-cocked reviewer gushes all over their virtues?
in all its forms.

But then again the US Constitution doesn't really deal with either of our statements.
Wilson Benesch is the real deal.
Ummm--I think you are not.

You seem to have a very thin skin when it comes to people who don't share your outlook or opinion. Possibly this comes from a perspective of being "embattled or disparage as a Audio Reveiwer Pro." Still seems like poor excuse to call others names.
Your experience must have validated some of the premise that "price does not always equal quality or value".
I do have a bit of issue that, you state that you had not heard the unit in discussion, but you are judging it to be of value, based solely on the manufacturer's name and price. That view could be seen as having the same worth as those who degrade this unit, without hearing it, based solely on price.
wisely know when to STFU, or they completely avoid opening their yap in public forums.
You apparently do neither.
what part of that (english-language, your culture) proverb don't you understand?
bigger is better? heavier is better? [in size of driver and overall weight]

It's a SUBWOOFER, not a woofer substitute. All other things being equal, the subwoofer that can move more air should have better measured performance. Moving more air requires more surface area and excursion.
Compared to what Wilson Audio has charged for subwoofers, the Wilson Benesch version is not that expensive.
