if im trying to run a 1/4 t-line the length then must be 1/4 of the wavelength of the desired tuning. then once the tline is stuffed with acoustic fill the length of the line would then need to be shorter to meet the desired tuning so if i were to put 2 subs in once box the line would be huge but wouldnt have to be that long. so i guess my question is does the shape the line takes make a big difference?
Follow Ups:
The cross sectional area has to be correct at every point of the line. How you fold it is up to you.
The 1/4 wavelength needs to be maintained regardless of stuffing.
The stuffing does not make the line appear longer, it reduces a number of unwanted resonances.
You can't fiddle with that like you can with ported box volume.
i had been lead to believe that the stuffing would make the wavelength shorter than usual because it would slow down the speed at which the waves travel through the box
Stuffing has very little if any influence on line length.
The line will be shorter if you narrow it from closed to open end.
Conversely it needs to be longer if you flare it (ie the so called back-loade horn).
The required cross sectional are is determined by the drivers radiating area (Sd) meaning that a line with two 15s will end up occupying twice the volume than a t-line with only one.

thanks i think this will help quite a bit
