My house is built on a concrete slab. I purposely bought it for my vinyl hobby. My turntable stand is spiked to the concrete slab and my speakers and subs are also spiked to the slab. It's the only way to go. Bass is solid and tight. There are no vibrations transmitted to the my turntable through its stand unless an army tank drives down the street in front of my house. Other than that, I can jump up and down in front of my turntable and it has no effect.
Best regards,
John Elison

I couldn't agree more. A concrete slab has given me the very best results in regard to spiking as well as overall system performance. In my experience, spiking to a suspended wood has not led to positive results. This is where some form of decoupling is in order. As always YMMV.
Make that spiking to a suspended wood "floor" has not led to positive results.
