For that money I'd buy them without thinking twice.

Hi and thanks for your helpful advice
As i said i have no direct experience of these models, active or passive
I just read positive words about that series
Do you have maybe a direct experience ?
Not to sound suspicious but lately more or less all the reviews are positive
Then i am also little worried about the conditions of the internal electronis.
A repair could be critical for not so common speakers.
Thanks again.P.S. you have a really great system ! congratulations !
Kind regards,
bg

I kinda like B&W speakers and with the Matrix they did good things with the cab but they were always held back by their overly complex passive crossovers which rob power and control. This should not be a problem with these.
All else being equal I prefer active speakers with average amps to passives with excellent ones.
I'd be tempted to buy them just to find out how good B&Ws could be.
As long as they work the only thing that could be wrong would be electrolytic caps which may have gone out of spec over time. Fairly easy to replace these if there are any.
Hi and thanks again for the very helpful advice
It is very important your point on crossovers in particular.
To be honest the feature that intrigues me mostly is the cabinet construction.
I am sure they have achieved some spectacular results with the Matrix concept
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
