Quite the long shot, I know...but I need to replace the tweeter housing from a B&W Matrix 804. (It's an external top-mounted tweeter.) I've already contacted B&W, and the part is discontinued and they don't have any left. I can't even replace it by buying the entire tweeter, because it doesn't include the housing. Anybody have any ideas? B&W's part number is CC10435. Thanks...
Follow Ups:
I broke two on my 805s (what an accident waiting to happen those are) & the second time B&W no longer supported my particular version of the 805 (Matrix). Fortunately, my 805 center channel speaker is no longer being used for HT, so I cannibalized the part off of it.
But, I did contact The Speaker Exchange
https://reconingspeakers.com/
& had them fabricate one for me just in case I break another one.
For some reason I am unable to edit the above post, but as I was thinking about it, they did not fabricate a new tweeter housing; I mailed them my broken one & they fabricated a repair for the broken one.
Do you have a pair ? If the other side is good you can have it 3D printed. In fat I got a guy who can generate the file which will save you money. Well of course he has to get paid but the money is not going through a guy at a desk who drives a Cadillac car and smokes a big cigar.
A picture of it can probably get you some sort of a quote. And then we would probably have it done here if that is OK. He is quite the metrologist and can make SURE it conforms.
How about some pictures for a start ?
I have what you are looking for. I no longer have my speaker, but I do have a brand new item# CC10435. I know you were looking for it a year ago. If you still need it, let me know. I was about to list it on eBay when I saw your post. Let me know.

Welcome! Paula.
I find myself in an identical situation to the original poster - with a broken tweeter housing and no way to get hold of a replacement. Is the CC10435 housing from Paula still available (appreciate it was a long time ago).
IF you have the part, you can repair it with this:
http://www.amazon.com/Plast-aid-80400-Plastic-Repair-6-Ounce/dp/B004DFHSM6/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1416667590&sr=8-8&keywords=plastic+repair
Radio Shack used to sell something just like it which I used many times to repair plastic. It does not work on styrene based plastics, but most plastics are not styrene based, it should work... If not, if you have it's mate, you could use it to make a mold, and using this stuff, you could make a new one, but I suspect you would want to allow a lot more time for it to cure as I imagine the cure time is for exposed curing, not several ounces of it unexposed to the atmosphere... Never know though, some things to do not require oxygen to cure.
Best Regards,
Lou
These guys do all types of mods to the 801 series 2 and 3 speakers and perhaps more.
contact George Short at northcreekmusic@gmail.com
I think they are Minnesota based.
Just keep watch around but its difficult to source now.
B&W is out of them.
You can look see ebay listings pretty much every day of the week presenting a pair of Matrix 805/4/3 or HTM center channels described as "mint" but missing tweeter.
I just 2 days ago took my 805 Matrix speakers (truly "mint") out of long term storage & am using them in my living room for casual listening & TV duty. Still have a perfect HTM that I'll keep stored.
Makes me wonder if I shouldn't take the HTM apart & see if somebody on alibaba.com wouldn't pop out exact copies at a level that could turn a profit? More likely? I should just make a mold & cast re-pops out of aluminum, powder coat them, and sell them as an upscale replacement?
Anyway - hope you find a replacement at a not too dear price!
Have you tried Miller Sound?

Just 3D print yourself to success!
To that end I saw one at MCM the other day for under $600!

I am assuming the fascia has been broken. ANY pics? Perhaps some resin and paint?
Welcome! Mike f.
I would add to watch eBay on a daily basis. Contact the Parts Connection?
Contact the more established B&W dealers/retailers?
on Ebay and harvest the tweeter housing?
Try a good speaker repair shop that works on home audio. Sometimes they are pretty ingenious or know of sources we do not. Also many parts for speakers for sale on ebay; some of them not common.
Oh, forgot to mention that there is a place called something like Oak Tree Vintage audio that specializes in selling older gear; especially speakers. Sometime s they sell leftover parts etc. They have a web site.
Have you had a look at their support website?
Oh. Sorry - read too quickly and missed that you had.
Is it possible to replace it with a newer tweeter module? If so, you could replace the tweeter modules on both speakers so they would look the same. Perhaps B&W could advise you on changes to the crossover if required.
Good luck,
John Elison
