I do like the P3ESR's, having lived with a pair for three years.
They do have a better midrange than the Peachtree, but now that I've gotten used to it I could not get along without the extra bass, dynamics, and volume.
Every now and then you want to listen to Daft Punk. That only works on P3ESR's with a sub (which is a hot combo).

I hear you! I'm not into that kind of music so it really doesn't make a difference to me. BTW,I just unloaded Harbeth Compact 7's, I preferred the P 3's so you know where I'm comin' from.
I absolutely prefer P3ESR's and a small sub (the little Totem is nice) to the Compact 7's.
Not that the 7's aren't a great speaker, but the huge, open imaging and great bass you get from the 3-piece system.... it's addictive in the extreme.
