Given that your L and R speakers are Kef LS50's. I've always thought most center speakers are compromised designs due to their horizontal driver arrangement, which leads to comb filtering.
A single LS50 as a center would seem like the ideal design, given its concentric tweeter and woofer arrangement (perhaps "concentric" is not the right word, but you know what I mean), and its wide, uniform horizontal dispersion dispersion.
I am curious because I am thinking of getting a single LS50 to use as a center speaker. I also wonder whether it could be used on its side, or whether sideways placement would eliminate its wide dispersion.

A) The R200c fits in my cabinet.
B) I can tolerate the goofy orange cones on my left-rights, but three of them?
No.

I had a similar placement of the speaker on the shelf. But when I moved the speaker to the middle of the compartment instead of closer to the side panel, I thought the sound improved a little. This is about my BA RS26 speaker. I dont know about the KEF.

You could paint the cones black OTH there is insufficent room under your TV you have best solution as IMO the ITU setup for mch sound is not achievable in most domestic environments, furthermore I have auditioned full scale ITU setups 5 equal size floorstanders setup by the experts Eric Kingdon Sony & Ken Ishiwata Marantz and found them unlistenable, when complaining of the poor sound, the answer is room acoustics or that the speakers are not yet run in,
The R200c sounds amazing. If I had room I'd have three of them across the front!

Thanks I find the R500 sounds amazing especially for the price and will order a pair. This speaker has everything including a D'Appolito array,
