Ah, thats the speaker I wanted to audition and tried at Stereo Exchange in Manhattan. The guy there had never heard of it!
I think this speaker was formerly Musical Fidelity speaker that was reviewed by JA. I could be wrong.
Wonderful they look in your room I have a vague memory of a pair of KEFs on a Mezzanine floor. Do you have KEFs also?
Cheers

Actually, the Peachtree speakers were formerly known as Era. The D5 was known as the Era Design 5. According to "The Absolute Sound," the drivers were designed by Aerial's Michael Kelly.

Michael Kelly himself has told me that's true.

Nope, this was never a MF speaker.
Yup, I have LS-50's which I use downstairs in the home theater. They're quite the speaker. Haven't done any direct compares but so far I'd say they're more detailed than the D5, but the D5 is smoother and has lower bass. I guess I still prefer a soft-dome tweeter to a metal-dome.

Agreed, I prefer soft dome tweeters as well. Can't explain it, but that's the way it is for me.
Nice speakers. Looking forward to your 6 month review.
