See the way the vandersteens do it is you put there crossover (hi pass) in-between the pre and the power amp then use the output to your speakers and run a parallel set of cables to their subs . the panel amps pick up where the bottom registry drops out. the big benefit there is that your power amps are not pushing as hard and you get a cleaner more concise sound out of your mids and highs . Yea it works great but those subs are big and not going to cut it with the misses or myself in our living space.

Trolling?? If trying to find some information from others that know more then I do is what you refer to as trolling then yes.
What was the purpose of your question if you don't want to accept an answer that disagrees with your preconceived conclusion? Furthermore, why are you even asking questions about subs if both you and your wife won't allow them in your listening room? Are you trolling?
