They look to be a far cry from the previous Reference series. Much more room friendly sizing, though the new 5 has about half the woofer area of the departed 207/2. None of the photos or accompanying documentation indicates that they come with grilles. Still, they seem to be cleverly designed to be a point source with the ability to produce lots of bass.I'm with the OP. Anyone have anything to report about these?

The 207/2 is one of the most dreadful looking speaker I ever laid eyes on what with its 1950 White Mustang headlight pod on top. These new models look stunning.

1st year of the "White Mustang" - 1964........
........I was a vegetarian for 15 minutes... until the main course.
I'm pretty sure they have grills.. I suspect they use the same magnet mounting as the new R series so no visible holes on the baffles.
I clicked on the provided link, then on the Fact Sheet. KEF says that grilles are included.
One of these might be very interesting if it provides LS50 sound with added low frequency performance. I suppose it's just wait and see for now.
Cheers,
Al
Got any pictures of them with grilles? And while we are talking about their appearance, got any pictures of the rear of the things? I suspect they not only come with no grilles, I also suspect the rear panels on the things are simply painted flat black. On the other hand, I'd be thrilled to be proven wrong on this!
