I need help in deciding between the ff. options:
1. Dynaudio Audience 70 with with Musical Fidelity XA100r
or
2. Dynaudio Audience 50 with Sub 30 and Musical Fidelity XA1.Either will result in the same price. Which will give a better soundstage and tonal accuracy? Will there be a problem integrating the Audience 50 with Sub 30 knowing that the 50's go down to 45hz. while the limit of LF control on the Sub 30 is 60hz?
Thanks in Advance.
Follow Ups:
I've had the 70's for nearly six months and love them to no end. They're matched with a Paradigm PW2200 sub and they blend extremely well. To be honest, the sub hardly ever works much, the 70's may go down as low as 35 hertz depending on room conditions and placement. I also auditioned the 40's and 50's, the latter being the least impressive of the trio. Go for the 70's with or without sub, otherwise you may prefer the 40's with a sub (would definitely need it to get real low bass). Enjoy, Dynaudio is a great speaker maker.
It surely will depend on your taste and the kind of music you listen to.Ive listenend to the Audience 50 in a showroom in singapore , they do not really need a sub while the 40 (much sweeter )probably do.
But this is a matter of personal taste.I was an unhappy owner of the audience 5 (less bass with bright upper mid) but i am quite happy now with the little felt trick round the tweeter.
Enjoy dynaudio .. .they are worth the money (if you get a better deal than me)

Thanks Jerry. What do you mean by the 40 being more sweeter. Does it give a better soundstage and tonality than the 50?
To be honest , i liked the 40 more. The upper mid is splendid (voices ...) while it seems to lack some bass.
Adding a good sub might lead to a killer combination (do i need to mention REL subs ? :)
It took me a while to decide bet the aud 40 & 50, in the end I choose the 40 since the midrange was nicer! THe 50 I feel have too much bass in that small cabinet! Now I have the Contour 1.1 & its alot more refined either the 40 & 50. The problem with the 1.1 is that its a bit hard to drive. I don't know if the Musical Fidelity have enough power to drive it a reasonable levels, or get the most out of those Dines. I'm using the 8150i plinius and it gets a hold of it well.
Good luck,
I used to drive my Audience 70s with a MF X-A1. Had no problems whatsoever. I personally find the 60 to sound more refined than the 70, but the latter had better bass. So, I do not think you will face problems driving any speaker in the Audience line (except perhaps the 80) with a 50wpc amp like the X-A1. If you are willing to wait, check out the new X-A2, which is 75wpc.The Contours do indeed sound much more refined; that's the word I always use when describing the Contours.
