well im planning on building circuit which connects via jack input to the ipod, the speaker connection is grand, more just the schematic circuitry i was wondering about... think i mat have found a suitable basic circuit though, the link from instructables below looks fairly handy...

yea its gonna be a stereo pair, was thinking something like a 9v battery would probably be enough to power that circuit wouldn't it?
It is spec-ed for 12-26V and draws up to 1.3A. Several watts at idle. What battery did you have in mind?

just regular batteries, might go 12v just to be covered then sure
