I have a sub on my current 5.1 system, and it's connected in parallel with the mains so I can extend the low end of anything that's playing. I'd like to switch over to using the sub-out for movies so I can restrict the amount of 'splodin going to the mains (which sometimes pop and click during loud scenes). I don't want all that DSP bass-management in there while listening to stereo sources. Is there any sub manager/component out there that lets you flip between two subwoofer set-ups easily?

Unless your AVR or processor has a "Pure or "Direct" setting that explicitly bypasses the DSP, all your signals go through it anyway. Most will handle the integration of the subs and main speakers better than your ad hoc arrangement.

If it is a Onkyo receiver in Pure Audio mode it will bypass the sub out as well in Pure Audio left and right only
Parasound P7 analogue pre-amp, will give you both using an AVR along side. The stereo main outs w/HT bypass has analogue bass management.
When using the multichannel inputs w/AVR then the DSP controls the bass management.

Why don't you just control the sub through the RCA/receiver low level out? You have a 5.1 receiver which will let you adjust the subwoofer level whether playing music or movies! Try it out & see if you like!?
I think you'd have to rig it yourself.
