You may have read a Stereophile follow-up regarding the Totem Forest. Over in the Critics forum, readers question the accuracy of this follow-up review.
Since it's been available for quite a while now, there must be a few Totem Forest owners out there. How would you describe the Totem Forest?
Follow Ups:
They image beautifully, and create a sound with no critical element missing.
I thought it was odd how the manufacturer responded. The product has clearly stood the test of time... is somewhat of a classic and listeners will decide if they like the speaker during an audition. I thought the reviewer had some good comments. Totem over reacted imo but the designer is passionate about his products... which is a great trait to have in this industry. I give him credit for speaking his mind. Customers will buy based on auditions and the Totem will win and lose against some of the best designs available at that price. No shame being among the best.

In a 13 x 14 room. Very good bass and imaging, the top end was smooth but not Hot (bright). Very good speaker to listen for long periods of time. Great value if bought on the Used market. I wouldnt pay retail. Sort of reminded me of my old vandersteen 2ci's
I had a pair for a weekend. Pretty nice, but not enough for the room I had at the time. I think they are appropriately priced, not giant killers by any means. Just solid good sounding speakers for a medium size room.

Don't worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older, it will avoid you.

...negatively critisize the product they own.
They tend to be much more critical of the reviews that aren't totally positive.
Otherwise it would create cognitive dissonance.
