In Reply to: RE: 50Hz? No chance. Most floorstanders roll-off at around 80Hz. posted by ppopp on October 21, 2009 at 04:18:46
Incorrect assurtion. Most floor standers do 80HZ quite well. My PSB Image T45s go down to 40 Hz with authority and here are the curves measured at the NRC facilities to proove it.

Prove it? What is the reverberation time at 40 Hz in a small anechoic chamber and what is done to account for this in your measurement curve?
What reverb? Its anoechic meaning nzereo, none, zip reverb of anykind. Reverb is reflection of sound.
To work to the lowest frequencies.
Having said that, the other poster is confused in this and many other posts of his.
As you indicate the NRC facilities are used by many Canadian and US manufacturers...because the facilities are excellent.
Did you not click on the link? The measurements were taken at the NRC's facilities and not by me. Yeah I know your gobsmacked and you should be for over generalizing. Nice try though.."E" for effort
Do tell us more of what you know!
It would appear so by the different non Canadian speaker manufactures that use our facility.
