Hello Maybe some one can help, I recieved a Revel C30 center channel the other day. It wasn't packed well and suffered cosmetic damage and the tweeter doesn't seem to be working. Could have been an issue before shipping, hard to tell.
How can I test to see if the problem is the tweeter or something in the crossover? I have one of these voltage/amp/ohm meters here but not sure how to use it.
thanks
How easy is it to pull the tweeter out and see if both the wires to it are still connected?
Both connected.
How bout, I pull the tweeter out and while still connected take another tweeter from a cheap set of speakers I have, connect the + - to the wires that are attached to the suspected bad tweeter, play some music and see if the cheap tweeter works?????
Sounds good to me.
I just wired in a cheap tweeter from anoter speaker that I had and I had lots of sound...which means I just need to get a new tweeter and can move on and fix this thing...yippie!
