Hi All,
Short question since my first one didn't seem to post. Am I able to get into my Braun L1030's without hurting them? They seem sealed and I just don't want to try to pry open the back (or front fo that matter) if there is a tool I need or a trick someone knows to get into them and do some upgrading. Any and all info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Barry R.
OK Y'all,
Thanks for all the info ! I will now CAREFULLY try to get under the plastic front covers and check out my options.
I just pray I don't break anything.
See Ya,
Barry R.
there is access to the screws holding these drivers to the cabinet. Probably the same for the woofer.
They had a foam gasket whick turns into a gooey tacky substance that just won't let go.
Pry very carefully.
To djk,
To be specific , do you mean the front or the back since both sides are stuck with no screws or notches or gripping holes, etc ?
Thanks,
Barry R
PS I've had these a long time and there isn't any info on them even from Braun itself. But I know I must be careful !
I looked at some pics on a web site & it looks like they have baffles mounted around the speakers, probably glued on...which should just pry off. BUT,i would try contacting Braun or a service tech first!
I accessed the "innards" by removing the drivers from the front be removing the screws.
