I'm itching to upgrade my speakers, and the initial reports of the Imagine line (not Image) seem to be good. I'll have to drive a bit to see one in person, though.

Reviews are just words and numbers on paper. Totally meaningless. Whether an individual loves or hates the sound of individual loudspeakers is very, very subjective and is dependent on things like, the cosmetics, time of day, listening room, amplifier used, analog source, speaker cabling, interconnects, prior mood and the last time you ate and what you had. Do you see the point I am trying to make. There are NO absolutes in audio. Trust your own ears and buy what pleases you. We all must be our own audio guru. Case in point.
HAVEN'T YOU EVER ENJOYED A NEW ALBUM ONE DAY AND HATED IT THE NEXT?
Was at one of the local Edmonton shops (The Gramophone) just the other day and sat down for an hour to have a listen to the 'Imagine T' because I had just read Gader's review in The Absolute Sound (January - Issue 189)
[sorry John - I'll get to your review when I get my Feb. Sterophile]
I noted they made the TAS grade as a Product of the Year so I had to have a listen. They're good! They're really good. I enjoyed that session immensely. They're very well-appointed cosmetically and a genuinely pleasure to listen to.
Associated gear was a little Oriental integrated tube amp (forget the name) and a NAIM Cd player. Nordost cabling.
Paul Barton and his company have made (yet another) really good Canuck speaker.

As I read your post, I kept waiting for "and boy did they suck!" :)

I write about the bookshelf Imagines in my Fifth Element column in the February issue of Stereophile. I will revisit them in the April issue, and JA's measurements of them may appear at some future date.

Cool, thanks.
I've been considering a subscription to Stereophile. I haven't subscribed to an audio related mag since Audio Magazine back in the '80s (well, I got Speaker Builder for a while too).
What I really want to see is a review of the towers.

Here's a review from Sound and Vision.
