I would get comments regarding selecting a good pair of bookshelf speakers. We have own B & W P5s and then graduated to 804s but due to the new house I have to find a good pair of bookshelfs.
The space will allow a speaker up to 15 inches so that rules out the B&W 805 and 705. I am leaning toward the CM5s but would like to get input if it is worth finding a dealer for Dynaudio or Paradigm Signature Series. We will use them for listening to music but also part of a home theater setup.
Thanks in advance

I have heard all of the Dynaudio Focus speakers, and like them all. The only one I heard in home theater setup is the floorstanding model, but I would assume that the bookshelf models would be fine. IMO, Dynaudio are well worth the audition and, in my book, a cut above both Paradigm and B & W. Dynaudio like a decent amount of power, but they sound much bigger than they are; The small focus 110 sounds like a larger bookshelf speaker, the larger focus 140 sounds like a compact floorstander, and the focus 220 sounds like a large floorstander. The best thing about Dynaudio speakers is they reflect the electronics and recordings without imparting a sound of their own.
The Paradigm Signature S2 is about the right size, and without spikes or feet is below 15 inches of height. I have the first version, placed on stands, and am very pleased with them. They also sound pretty good close to the rear wall, which makes them sound warmer. I haven't heard the second version, but it presumably is at least as good. They also make a smaller S1 speaker now.
If you want deeper bass with any small speaker, a subwoofer can be useful, and the same would be true for the speakers mentioned below.
The PSB Synchrony One B is a fine speaker, too, and I heard it at some length. Like my old Stratus Minis, it has good bass to below 40 Hz. Placed close to a wall, the mid-bass for the Stratus Minis is indeed too prominent due to the reinforcement from the wall, so I would imagine the same would be true for the Synchrony One B. The smaller Synchrony Two B might be better for placement on a bookshelf or similar placements.
I never was able to hear the PSB Platinum speakers in a normal acoustic but the smaller M2 did sound quite smooth. It's bass response is similar to that of the Paradigm Signature S2 so it should be suitable place close to a wall.
Dynaudio makes excellent speakers. Their standmount speakers in the Focus and Contour series also tend to have deeper bass response than most, so the smaller models might be more suitable for your purposes. I heard the Dynaudio Contour 1.3 some time ago, and the reputation of the company is excellent. Because of the strong bass response, a smaller model might be more suitable for actual bookshelf placement.
If you want something off the beaten track, Ethera makes excellent speakers. I have heard the standmount Ethera Vitae (believe me, Leo Lewis knows how to make a good speaker) but it is too big for your purposes. I presume the smaller Seraph is also excellent and it may be a good bet. I don't have the dimensions, but it is said to be designed for actual bookshelf placement. You'd probably have to contact them to get them.

I do not know if merlin TSM mxe is compatible with this size you need, but I had B&W and dynaudios bookshelf( 50 ,52) and the best is merlin tsm mm( I had one).
Take a listen to PSB's new Synchrony line or Platinum line of speakers. Very good speaker for the money.
I'm not sure where you are in the world, so whether or not they will be readilly available to you I'm not sure, but ATC do some fabulous bookshelf/standmount sized speakers. They all take a fare ammount of driving, but are quite amazing sound wise. They pack a massive and very well controlled punch for the size, are extremely detailed and create a very realistic soundstage with little added or taken away.. I've had my 20s for 9 years now and still find them very exciting, only problem with them is that they have a tendancy to pull bad recordings apart too much..
