I've had lots of new speakers and could never tell the difference in sound due to this so called speaker break in. Don't believe in it.

I've heard the differences during break-in among every pair of new speakers I've owned - particularly in the tweeters and their integration with the midrange. Most recently, I owned new Tyler Linbrook Signatures and now Merlin VSM-MXe speakers, and to my ears the difference was dramatic, but it also unfolds over a period of several weeks.
Contrare, mon frere. Speaker break in is VERY real and you will experience it if you are not a "background listening kind of guy".

Sorry to respectfully disagree. I don't believe in it. Just like my new car engine, I know it's breaking in but I can't tell any difference in the way it drives.
