Is anyone familiar with this speaker, or with era speakers in general? If so, how would you characterize their sound? They've been recommended to me as a floorstander for a small room..
Follow Ups:
I hope you have a small hydro-electric damn to run them.
Well, it's a small room, and my amp puts out 100 w/ch. But thanks for the heads-up - I hadn't realized that the era's are that inefficient.
sensitivity. It's a 2.5 way floorstander and has only been out for 2 weeks. I think the other poster is referring to the D4 which is 83.5 db.
we tested it at Danny Ritchie's place (GR Research) with a 100w/channel Carver amp and it drove them with no problem. Danny rated it at 87.5db without the usual 1.5db padding.
not here to promote product, but I think the other poster confused models.
