I just received a pair of Guarneri Homage 1 month ago :)
Now I could understand why most claimed that it is the best bookshelf speakers available.
Before my purchase, I auditioned the Cremona, Amati, Wilson Benesch Discovery, Vienna Acoustic Mahler, triangle, Spendor and Wilson Watt/Puppy 7.
Decided on the Guarneri as it is simply superior to all others in tonality and musicality (within a short brief audition).
Also, the Guarneri mates well with the new Cremona subwoofer. Almost seamless integration.
The Cremona is more dynamic but loses much of the midrange magic of Guarneri.
The Amati is just too bright for my ears...In fact I find it worse off compared to Vienna Mahler and Cremona.
My current set up is:
1) Marantz 7300 cd player + Ortho Spectrum Analog Reconstructor
2) MF M3 (used as a preamp) but it sounds superb driving the Guarneri alone.
3) Mcintosh MC-2000 (power amp)
4) MIT Terminator 2 Speaker cables, VDH 102 MKII interconnect, MF Nuvista Interconnect.
I was wondering if I can get a improvement by upgrading the interconnect and speaker cables?
Audio Note KSL-LP interconnect.
Audio Note KSL-SPz in biwire configuration.
AN cables are magic with tubes and any SF speaker.
