MSS Hifi sells gray market goods. Many authorized dealers are unloading their goods out the back door and Johnny sells them on MSS Hifi. I am not surprised the serial number is missing- that way, the dealer selling it out the back door cannot be identified.

  Dealers going belly up don't usually own the stock anymore.. if they sell it, it is just stolen stuff...
  Thus (perhaps) the missing serial #

  why do they do that? Surely the offer would be very low. Would they get their costs?
