I think HW beat you at that with his VPI Bricks from the mid-Eighties. It is a good tweak, though and works just as you say.
For myself, I use E.A.R. SD-40 under all my iron to tame vibration. Don't know where I'd fit those bricks on these latest ;)

Easily ...on end, four to six on each chassis, and horizontally on the power transformer, try the ouput trannie also. So, twelve bricks at 60 cents each is WORTH a gamble.
Seek and ye shall find !!
My next SE chassis will be 12 gauge welded corners, no more 14 gauge steel
!!
Have fun and regards from mid Missouri,

here no need for ugly bricks to get it sound good i take transformers :-)
this is together a preamp and 2 mono's around 100 kg!
for 8 watts
I don't much care about your picture.
What I would LIKE to see is an open mind, such that you use about 4 or 5 bricks on end, on each mono chassis, and LISTEN and report back to us all, as to what you hear !!
Speak to us from your direct and actual experience.
Its far more authoritative, when you do so !!
I've DONE this, now its your turn to learn something cool.

Maybe all that other stuff that preceded putting rocks on top of the amp doesn't matter? How do you know? Maybe the bricks are compensationg for butchered transformers? How do you know without a reference at each step of the way?
