Well there is always something over the next mountain with AN - have you seen their new power amps that a Greek audiophile had Audio Note make for them - he basically has more money than God and hired them to to design and build a new power amplifier that goes for $750,000 US. It makes the $300,000 Gaku-Ons mid-fi. :)
The TT3 is a ridiculous turntable - the dealer her in Hong Kong has it with the the three boxes to drive each motor - the power was so great on early models that the table would snap the belts after an LP or two so they had to reign in the torque. The old TT3/Voyd Reference was the best vinyl replay I had ever heard. But apparently you just can't get the motor parts anymore.
I really do like the new tonearm from Audio Note which replaces their tweaked out Rega 250. Some high praise from a SME 5 owner http://www.hifiwigwam.com/audio-note-tonearm-three-iii/
Check out the new AN Power amp (the three boxes beside the speakers is one amp) They have two more orders already with a 12 month lead time - so place your order now to beat the rush.
As Max Bialystock said in "The Producers" --- 'That's it, baby! When you got it, flaunt it, flaunt it!

Wow that is an interesting looking system. Have you heard it?
A very serious, deep-pocket guy in my area has multiple systems in his home. The BIG system, built around custom-made horn speaker system, was once triamped. He bought three Audionote Sogon amps. When it turned out that the Kageki sounded as good as one of the Sogon amps when driving the tweeter, he bought the Kageki and kept the extra Sogon as a backup amp. How many audiophiles can keep a $250,000 amp as a back up?
He eventually simplified the system and now runs pushpull amps made by a guy in Italy named Aldo d'Urso. I am also running Aldo's preamp (all transformer coupled from input to output) and amp (transformer inputs, 348 driver tubes and 349 output tubes). I have kept my Kageki (on loan to a friend) because I like certain aspects of its sound, but for now, I am in pushpull land.
What push pull amp are you currently using?
I've always been intrigued with the idea of DHT output push pull (even more so with DHT drivers).
It is a "clone" of a Western Electric 133a amp made by Aldo D'Urso in Italy. It uses Langevin input transformers, Western Electric output transformers (171C) and mostly vintage parts (the power transformer is modern). The amp is also built on one large chassis instead of being monoblocs.
I run Western Electric 348a input/driver tubes (four of them) and Western Electric 349a output tubes (four of them as well).
The amp works best with a linestage with output transformers. My linestage, also built by Aldo D'Urso, has Western Electric input and output transformers.
