I don't know about 811 running low power SET. I doubt it'll sound similar to 45 in any case. But if you run 845 LOW Power IT coupled, it'll sound just as good and clean as 45 but with 3 times the sound stage.
I have 45 SET, 45PP, 2A3 SET, 2A3PP, 845 SET and then 845 low powered SET. If I want the extra oohmp from the 45, I rolled in the 845 low powered SET.

Interesting. What operating points are you using for the 845 and what driver tube, if I may ask?

It's plates are at 600V with cathode bias for about 80V so B+ is 680V. It's driven by IT coupled from 6SN7. Gain is low so needs a lot of drive from the preamp stage. I guess the output is about 10W-12W but more than enough for me.
