I'm wondering which Bottlehead implementation would sound/perform better, this;
http://app.audiogon.com/listings/tube-bottlehead-parabee-bottlehead-parabee-300b-amps-magnequest-mundorf-mapleshade-2015-03-18-amplifiers-03301-concord-nh
or the current Paramount version
Please advise
Thank you

Tubes are NOT included. I'd buy a new Paramount.
The tubes are included.
Unless I'm missing something, the ad says the tubes are NOT included
"Bottlehead's wonderful Parabee 300B power amps, upgraded! The basic kit has been modified with Mundorf silver, and oil output caps, V-cap teflon caps (3 per side) (no 300B tubes are included), a John Tucker shunt regulator which use both sides of ultra low noise svetlana 6N1P tubes."
I'm interested in detail about how this older Parabee circuit compares sonically to the newer design.
I am sorry you are correct, I was referring to my ad.
Tom
I hope anyone who gets the Parabees asks for the manual as well - it's out of print, as that kit was discontinued around 9 years ago.
Without getting into the various pros and cons, I'll just say that IMHO the Magnequest nickel-core output transformers are well worth the stated $600/pr.
You are welcome to ask questions on the Bottlehead forum as well.
