I do not believe that SET amps can play bass well do to the load line becoming an ellipse at low frequencies caused by a lack of inductance.
To the best of my knowledge, for 20hz to be flat and phase shift free, and the load line remain not an ellipse, the inductance for a 2500 ohm transformer needs to be 200Hy and that's not gonna happen in a air gapped OPT.
I could be dead wrong.

From a design perspective (other than size and cost) what is the problem with a DC carrying SE bass amp output transformer having 200hy's of inductance? Rather than design for 20hz-20Khz (10hz to 40Khz) for a full range amp, drop it an decade and shoot for 2-2000hz for a bass amp.

Yes, custom winding.
That would be great for those who want a SET bass amp.
How about a DC carrying SE mid/tweeter OPT for 200Hz to 200kHz?
Is that doable?

You can get nutty with a big CCS and neutralize some of the idle current with a dedicated winding and cut the air gap...but that is a lot of energy to just make heat with.
