->> If these don't have Audio Note Copper coupling caps, you could do that. These caps have improved the sound of all my cap-coupled gear. Or, in a radical departure, you could add some Russian K-40s for much less money...as an experiment.
These came with Jensen .22 PIO installed. I have some Russian .47 K40 and .068 Russian Oils . The schematic calls for .15 so I'm concerned the .47s will introduce a phase shift without adjusting the 330K resistor it's tied to. I was thinking trying it direct connected, just removing them from the circuit all together.
->>The biggest-best-most expensive thing you can do to improve the sound is to get rid of the existing OPTs (and choke if you want) and replace them with the low-end double C-Core OPTs. My experience with this was in comparing a regular Meishu (EI Core) with a Meishu S(Hi-B dual C-Core OPTs). The same is true for Audio Note Conqueror and Conqueror S and the OTO SE and OTO SE S model.
No plans and/or intentions to mess with OPTs other than change caps in circuit with them. I have remounted them with upgraded SS mounting hardware.
->>You can also replace the 2 thick cables that run from the input jack to the capacitor board with runs of AN Lexus, which is a very nice copper cable and will actually give a bit more body.
I have jacketed, shielded silver 30 ga, solid core with 2 conductors plus shield from high end test gear (surplus score) I've used in other builds I was going to swap out, but got antsy to hear the amp so left OEM wire in place for now.
->>Oil cans? Do you mean motor-runs? Is there room inside?
I have these loaded up in the dual mono amp (6** family P-P) in background of amp pix and in a 6BQ5 P-P I built. I bought a box of these in assorted capacities at American Science Surplus. My end price came out to ~ $2.00 a can. Gotta love buying in bulk.
->>Finally, the tone and warmth of the sonic presentation can be affected quite a bit by different makes/models NOS 6SN7GTs. The RCA grey glass are very very colored, while the Sylvania 6SN7GW is the most neutral. The Audio Note factory models come with 6SN7WGT, but don't know about the kits. Also, I find the 7119/E182CC to be less forward than the 5687 drivers.
I literally have a box load of 6SN7s I bought at an Antique/Consignment store some time back. So plenty to play with. I have already dumped the EH 6SN7 and EH 5U4 for Raytheon Gray Plate 6SN7 and Chinese 274B for the time being. I really want to get more intimate with this configuration before introducing any other changes.

Follow Ups:
Try some Russian silver mica caps. Probably the cleanest
sounding cap there is.
Cal
The older (WWII) Raytheon 6SN7GT, Black T-plates or flat plates.
The 0.47 will probably just raise the cut off freq of the bass a bit. I think.
You know a hell of a lot more than i do.
Observe, before you think. Think before you open your yap. Act on the basis of experience.
