Is this buzz comming from the transformer or trough the speakers?
The buzz is most prominent from the transformer, and is independent of volume adjustments. If I place an ear to the speaker, there is some buzz, but it is far more evident from the amp. It certainly does not sound like a 60 hz hum through the speakers.
If the buzz is a mechanical sound from the transformer, then you may well have a problem with DC on the mains.

Then it is no cable or groundloop problem
try a dc blocker then
Thank you--by DC blocker, do you mean something like the two references above, or a full power conditioner? I have read discouraging reports about using power conditioners or "regenerators" with some amps.
hello Leadbelly
