A friend was at that show and concurs - said it made the recent live Madison Square Garden 2cd set pale in comparison.
He wasn't surprised at how great Winwood was (par for the course) but blown away by Clapton's energy, passion
and guitar tone (meaty with weight and depth to match his chops).
The Madison Square Garden release strikes me as a promo for this brief tour and hopefully they'll release some of the best material
from these shows in a better recorded CD to document the heights they are capable of reaching.
