...last night. They're off to LA for the finale of their tour.
What show! Nearly two and half hours of virtuoso playing.
They did Blind Faith, Traffic, Derek and a little of everything else. Both in great form.
I would echo what our friends who went with us said - "In the top five concerts I've seen!"
Fantastic, enjoyed every minute of it. Eric sounded particularly inspired on Tough Luck Blues. I would have liked to have heard Key To The Highway and Little Wing (which they played at other shows on the tour), and the original version of Layla instead of the acoustic one (with Winwood playing piano at the end?), and I wish they hadn't ended with Voodoo Chile (Eric was great, but honestly it made me want to hear the original Hendrix/Winwood version, which was the first thing I did when I got home, and I was not disappointed), but it was a very special evening indeed.

I attended the Columbus show primarily for Winwood and he did not disappoint. While Clapton was certainly a great added motivation to see the show I was not only impressed by his playing, but, he was in tremendous voice that night as well. I had high expectations for the show and they were exceeded.

...about $140 for the elevated side above the floor back of the midpoint in the arena which holds about 15,000.
A friend went on Craigslist to buy main floor seats at $360 face value.
Upper level was around $75, if I'm not mistaken.
I saw the Las Vegas show last weekend at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. I have seen Clapton many times over the years but this is the first time he ever appeared to be having fun. The Highlights of the show was "Low Sparks" on solo piano and "Layla" acoustic.
...I've seen Winwood perform "Low Spark" numerous times, but this was the first all by himself.
The "Layla" with Winwood and Clapton both on acoustic guitars was spectacular.
And "Dear Mr. Fantasy" was great with Clapton playing lead guitar with Winwood on rhythm guitar.
A friend was at that show and concurs - said it made the recent live Madison Square Garden 2cd set pale in comparison.
He wasn't surprised at how great Winwood was (par for the course) but blown away by Clapton's energy, passion
and guitar tone (meaty with weight and depth to match his chops).
The Madison Square Garden release strikes me as a promo for this brief tour and hopefully they'll release some of the best material
from these shows in a better recorded CD to document the heights they are capable of reaching.

I heard them on XM/Sirius today and thought...how great must that concert be?
fantastic! Best concert I've seen in decades!
She further said that they played almost 3 hours with only one very short "cigarette" break. Winwood she said was in fine voice and Eric shredded!
