May 1971, Stanford U. Frost Amphitheater![]()
Thanks! for sharing...
You sure got around in those days ...
Nice shot.
17 and having to decide between joining Santana or Derek and the Dominoes.
Oh, wait! I guess he was 16 when he had to make that decision...
Man!

Cool! Have any of Graham Lear?
I do not think so. Who is he? I have some slides of Santana to go through yet, he may be in there if he was in the band in 1971. Pix of the The Band are scanned in at last. Will get them up tomorrow I hope.
He was Santana's drummer from 1976-84, so yeah, your pics are too early. Nice pics of Neal though (Gawd, he looks so young). I was a big fan of his as well. His name doesn't get mentioned much around here (my town, not AA) as one of the greats and it is sad. I know later Journey ended up going pop, but, early Journey was kickass. He was/is a very good guitar player.
in that photo. I knew Michael Shrieve as his girlfriend at the time was Kathy Delaney and she was my old lady's best friend. Man, those were the days....how the music world has changed. I bet there is no chance a photographer would have to be on stage with the likes of Santana today....
Amazing, thanks LRW!
