What was surprising is what was on there.
La's, Thunderclap Newman especially.
This silly magazine was not interested in the SEX PISTOLS when they were a sort of actual working outfit but now they have joined the bandwagon and made sure they got the biggest pom-poms they could find.
The Dennis Wilson album is terribly overrated and almost as boring as Robbie Robertson solo records.
With bands like the Modern Lovers and Rockpile - kind of hard to call those one album wonders. Not as if they disappeared.
The list would have had far more credibility if it contained three hundred records.
Follow Ups:
The Pistols first LP was released on 28 October 1977. Granted they had been making noise since 1976.
Still spinnin'...
;^)
Well, I sure got that wrong!
I sincerely thought they gave it a yawn.
Maybe I was thinking of the PIXIES records which they definitely did not think much of until a decade later.
THANKS for the correction!
Take care,
Still think these lists are nonsense.
