Read several, most are positive with a lot of comments on the "liveness' of the album. No comments I can find about the sound quality, however. I'm hoping for something along the lines of "Stripped", which I find excellent in terms of SQ and song content on my system. Anyone heard the new one and care to comment?

Just received mine from Music Direct - sold as 180 gram vinyl, but mine isn't. Is yours???
...just in the background.
Sounds good - back to their blues roots.
At least a couple of excellent songs.
...not among their best, I'd say.
Interesting recording though - sounds like they were all together in a small, fairly reflective studio having a good time.
Pure blues, a couple of the songs I've heard before, but the rest are pretty obscure.
Mick does a good job on harp as well as Charlie on drums. Chuck Leavell on piano.
Worth a listen. It may grow on me as I hear it more.
I'm wondering exactly what gear is she shifting into in the Mustang with an automatic gear shift? She does it twice. I'm no car expert but I would have at least had her driving a stick shift!
The production crew made some major mistakes, and what is with all that fish tailing? Nice car tho, not to mention the driver.
I read they recorded it in two days. I am thinking they enjoy being together, or recording or both.
Against my general rule of no "new" records, I forked out $43.59 of my hard earned dough.
The last Stones album I purchased was the initial run of "Some Girls" in 78!
Finished side one. The choice in songs is great. Micks vocals have the vibe of an old Chess
album. The bands sound captures the feel of their blues heros.
I even grabbed my Les Paul and turned on the 67 Deluxe Reverb to join them!
The record quality appears fine and sound quality is great. No punched up bass like a classic rock reissue.
Other than the excessive (IMO) retail price, good stuff. Other than possibly splurging for Bowies "Black Star", I'm sticking to the dollar bins.
I'm thinking it's a a 67 or 68 .
Girl looks like Kristen Stewart.
I believe you're correct-67,68. I'm more familiar with GM stuff.
Knowing everything done in the video is for visual effect, dumping into first gear at 40 MPH probably isn't a good idea.
Its a 68, you can tell by the side markers.
It's always funny until someone blows a channel
I'm jealous of the vinyl, only digital here. I'm picking up mine today. Good to hear the SQ is great - I am worried about compression on the cd.
I bet the CD sounds as good as the record. Thinking the master recording is just a digital file anyway.
Haven't read anywhere this recording is analog, so assuming it's just a bunch of 1s and 0's.
Whatever the case, the music played by the boys sounds great.
Looking at the record, I'm wondering if this could have been squeezed on just a single disc, allowing for a lower price.
Agreed-
Stripped does have excellent SQ.
...I have it pre-ordered.
Been a long time since we have had a really good stones album IMO. Hoping this one breaks that losing streak.
