Hi Ethan,
My room is 22' long by 16' wide & 10' high. I am using Usher BE-718 bookshelf speakers along with a tube integrated amp. I have kept tubetraps in the front-corners, behind each speaker,& also at the 1st reflection points on the front-wall. At the side-wall 1st reflections i have used 2'x4' panels. Yesterday i have made a pair of 2ft by 3ft QRD diffusor, based on the AcoustiCalc software, of 11 wells, & substituted them instead of the tubetraps at the 1st reflection points on the front-wall. The detail, impact & ambience has improved a great deal, but the vocals have developed sibilance & rough edges in the singers voice, which is unpleasant. What do u advice??? Please suggest what is to be done....
I don't understand. The front wall is not a "first reflection point" unless you have dipole type speakers that send sound that way.
