What can you do with it, besides matching the volume out of the 2 speakers?
Depends. You can use it, with a calibration curve, with some of the more sophisticated software like RoomEq Wizard. Also, Meridian actually recommends it for use with their room EQ since they are interested in frequency and decay, not magnitude.
