HI All,
I have just installed the Quintet in my stereo system (replacing the regular plastic power bar) and I must say that I think the sound has worsen. here is more grain, less detail and less fluidity. I am wondering, does Quintet benefit form the burn in period of some kind (if so for how long)? I sure hope that it will improve in time.
Thanks,
Rafal
Any comments or suggestions...? From Paul perhaps?
Burn in on this unit is essential. I think you need at least 1 to 2 weeks. If it still doesn't sound far better after that period, something's amiss.
Also, one of the issues with adding any kind of power product is the fact that you are adding an extra power cord in line. You need to make sure that between the two power cords, they are both excellent. The best one goes between the wall and the power conditioner, the next best between the conditioner and the equipment.
Let us know. I can't imagine any reason this won't just begin to sing after a bit of warm up.
Thanks Paul,
I currently have it hooked up in my HT system and after it's been butning in for about 3 weeks, I'll try it again in my stereo system. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
Thanks,
Rafal
