Wow. You've managed to poll everyone on the planet who has tried the chip? THAT'S impressive. To do that, and then come out with a precise number. How did you manage it?
Never mind. Science, I assume. But never never never something uncertain and unproven wrapped in the mantle of science. Reassuring to say the least. I guess it's something like M.I.B.... a group of people looking out for our audio well-being, without our knowing about it.
Except that some do a very good job of breaking the news. Kudos to them...when the gift of knowledge they bring is strong and pure, and their motives are true. Seriously. It's when things get away from that (eg talking about fact when it's actually opinion, etc.) when there's a problem....
People who have the multitude's ear carry a great responsibility.
No. I'm the one speaking in generalities. You've made the actual claims... and analogies... and replies ad infinitum.
I just hope that you're 'right', for the sake of the people who will take you at your word and spend their money accordingly. The films about lemmings jumping off the cliff were all staged. But, in regards to tweaks and such, some impressionable audiophiles will follow the leader.
Were there no messages (especially of an insulting nature) there would be no replies. And now you have me going at them "ad infinitum"!
