True, it also happens with my ML. But I have seen this issue on Golmund transports also.

This is a wild-assed-guess but I don't think anything needs to be changed beyond the "Hardware ID String" in the firmware to match up to the Yamaha. I may very well be wrong but it's worth a shot.
