Any DVD-ROM drive will work. For a sound card, an Audigy2 can play (via analogue) the DVD-A.I use a Audigy2 NX (USB 2) with my laptop. Note: only the audio from DVD-A is played

Thanks.I have decided to use a M-Audio "Audiophile 24/96" card (even though its only two channel) for now (got a great price on it!). I can also use it for other purposes now as well-like getting my Bass guitar into Cubase, etc...
As for DVD drives, I haven't picked out, as I just got wind that Panasonic is coming out with a new DVD Changer (DVD-F87S)that will do DVD-D, DVD-A, MP-3, and HDCD- all the formats I need/want. While I haven't heard it yet, its supposed to be more "audiophile frinedly" to Redbook and DVD-A playback.
Cheers,
