I need to have a couple speakers fairly distant from source; roughly 2-400 yards.
What would be the easiest way to accomplish this?
Thanks.

I would recommend a pair of these but make sure your guests clean the ear wax out of their ears before coming to listen:

How loud do you want it? A or C weighted?
Are you looking to cover from 2 yards to 400 yards or do you mean that the loudspeakers will be between 200 to 400 yards from the source?
So is this a loudspeaker question or a question on how to get signal to the loudspeakers that are that distance away? BIG difference.
What type of freq response do you need?
What type of variation in level are you willing to accept?
Are you looking for a single source or will be putting up delay loudspeakers?
How high can you get the loudspeakers?
How wide do you need coverage?
Mono or stereo?
What type of budget do you have?
Is this to rent or buy?
.
1200 ft?
WOW
What in the world are you setting up ?
