My son's Marshall Bluesbreakers 1962 re-issue guitar amp has a problem with its tremolo option. We follow its manual on how to use the tremolo but to no avail. Can anybody tell me what going on here?
TIA

All good advice but what is the weak link in the chain here?
Why the tube of course...re-seat it and make sure its a good tube
Dose this amp use an opti-coupler resistor in the tremolo circuit? You may want to test this for continuity and/or bad soldering. If the amp uses tubes or solid-state components to generate the tremolo, check them for fitness and soldering issues. The following link to schematic indicates that the tremolo is driven be an FET and two 1/2's of one 12AX7 tube. May want to check each of these and the connections to this part of the amp for patency.
PS: Check the footswitch for problems/continuity issues, too.
Good luck!

It does have the 12AX7 tube. I will check all the connector's solders and including the tremolo foot switch connections.

You are welcome. I guess if everything checks out ok... look at that FET.
