Can the dude afford 50.00 plus shipping?
Pick up a little amp like this and run his guitar into it
and put a mic on it and into your sound system

The answer to your question is no you dont have to have a D.I.
but the signal will be very weak and very clean

Have the guy pick up a little amp and mic it up

  how about the rack mount vamps are they any good, the reason being itll be a part of my rack and i could plug in any guitarists who decide to drop in without the need for them to bring there amps, space is a serious concern for me

    I found one for 99.00
    Everywhere else its 170.00
