I hope that you have sent the M-Audio folks your analysis for their possible reply or comments.

Several published reviews of this product have been favorable, but you have obviously pointed out some rather blatant flaws in the design and/or the implementation of the design.

Typically speaking, the mic preamps used in the majority of miniature recorders really are woefully inadequate as far as overall noise floor goes.

The folks at OADA Brothers might be interested in case they also sell the product.

As for myself, I have decided to stay on the sidelines while these products hit the market and land here or there.

God only knows what the Samson ZOOM recorder will be like in the final analysis.
