Tascam BR 20 - Any good?? + Converting voltage

Hi,
I have just acquired a USA model Tascam BR 20 reel to reel machine.
I want to use it in uk, but it says 120v 60Hz on the back panel.
2 questions
a) is this machine really any good? I know that it was the last machine tascam made - but how does it compare to the tascam 32, vintage Akai's etc?
b) The manual says that the voltage can be switched internally - is this easy to do? Is there a switch inside somewhere?
