Thanks for the consideration of us variants. It may be a bit more complicated. There are items to be not deleted for WeissDAC202, for instance, drmk.sys, which is listed in driver details under device manager. But there is also one or more needed for its asio to be recognized by cPlay even beyond the proprietary driver components it takes to get the DAC connected via firewire. I have yet to narrow it down completely so far, having been a bit over-inclusive to make sure it worked. I'll work on it.
Then there are the firewire related items: I retained pretty much any dll, sys or exe with 1394 in it unless clearly specialized for something else, which did the trick, but again I have not made sure I got down to the absolute minimum of these yet.
I will try to come up with complete lists in future.
Then there is a set of items starting with syn_ which are for my trackpad. But my trackpad also requires portcls.dll, mouse.sys and maybe one other I don't recall right now.
Then there is a series of items for my Intel ethernet adapter beginning with epi or epy plus a couple others. I believe most others have Realtek and wonder if items needed for this are being included which I could exclude.
BTW, I find my keyboard keeps working even after removing all keyboard.* files and all kbd* files save kbdclass.dll in System32.
Follow Ups:
Thanks Riboge, my keyboard is working again! i think you meant to keep the kbdclass.sys file (you described kbdclass.dll)?

Right you are! That's what I get for writing from memory.
can further help with his Aurora variations...if he is doing the tweaks.
