Doing my "editing" at another computer so I do not do anything but play music and AUTORUNS at the music computer.
So you load new music onto hdd via another computer?
since I have never connected the music computer to the internet AND after finding how nice it is to have the titles of the songs filled in I have been using my regular computer for that so I can use the database.
I leave the panel off so I have easy access to the sata cable and a power connection. This also has come in handy for file deletions and making the SNAPSHOTS. Finally got a copy and find it works perfectly. Thanks for the recommendation (If I have not already thanked you).
Thanks my cmp is not internet connected either but for new music I run EAC on my home computer then save the data on a thumb drive which I then plug into my cmp and cut & paste onto a cmp hdd. But no can do now. Now we both know why other smart guys (Ryelands, Mihaylov) use a network.

I am not convinced of the need for a network.
The idea of a minimal computer (not the same as minimal operating system) is intriguing but I like the upsampler within cPLAY so I am sticking with what I have.
The old story of there being more than one way to skin a cat, or any other animal for that matter.
