Hello, inmates! The tweak is splendid, as it helps to finish windows' tweaking. I would be carefull with 1252.nls file. Don't remove it for english version of OS, also screen fonts - *.fon files are slightly different for the original version of Windows. Also, Serge proposes to delete wdmaud.drv. Serge! Is it drv or SYS file? How does Juli@ work without it. Lynx users, DON'T delet portculis.sys.
I haven't done all the tweak, as I am almost at the same level of windows castration, but what I DID works fine, so Hats off to Mihaylov!
The difference will be posted soon as tweaks part 22.
Follow Ups:
I use a PS2 mouse at the suggestion of Grant (the great Canadian) who opines that this way you can disable all USB devices in BIOS.
As all of these mods require some sacrifice, one does have to reset BIOS to get USB services back but how often will that happen?
I have been doing this and find it better.
I deleted this file last night with the last group of MIHAYLOV's drivers suggestions and lost the mouse. As soon as it happened I thought that "port" part of the name was the clue and sure enough that is what it does.
Anyone have any idea which drivers the PS2 port needs?
Thanks,
Here is what I posted yesterday. I think it was msssm something something...check the link
I thought I read them all.
Thanks very much AGAIN!
I know you have tried to retain USB, but since the thumb drives won't work consider disabling it ALL in BIOS.
If you still dont get your mouse back I remember a Mihalov post recommending to keep hid*** files in. I still have these in so they may be necessary too. Hid***are human interface device drivers or files.

- It's drv from folder system32. wdmaud.sys is removed for a long time already.

- Fine! Neither cPlay, nor cMP do not use these files. See screenshots here http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/pcaudio/messages/9/97337.html
