Great idea and very generous ...only problem I can see is if certain installations require some files not be deleted. For example I needed to maintain some files for asio to initialize, some which my installation said were in use so I was not permitted to delete, some files required for usb thumb drive functionality. Others who use networks also have a whole slew of files to maintain. It might therefore vary what you can delete vs others. Anyway its a risk to be aware of.

I did that for the batch files already available. Just eliminate any line that removes something that should stay in your case.
Theob,
It's not just that. There is another thing that made me want to re-try all the previous versions of cMP. When I did step 5, I was very convinced with the outcome of it. The moment I started doing from step 5.5 onwards, something ir the other does not seem right. As I'm writing this, I'm at a stage where I have already finished doing all the parts till 16. And even at this stage, things aren't too good either. After step 5, the only stage I found impressive was when I did part 9, followed directly with part 16, eliminating all other intermediate parts. This sounded very promising. I must say it sounded way better than all parts accomplished. It's a good thing to go back ten steps & review it again...
I guess what you may find unacceptable vs anybody else is for sure highly subjective. But what about a complete 16 (all steps) did you find unacceptable? What did you like about 1-9 plus 16?
Yes. Absolutely !! To me, 1 to 9 plus 16 was way superior sonically then all the way from 1 to 16. That's exactly why I started to make batch files so that I & others may benefit from that experiment of re-evaluating what actually contributed to what...
What specifically is superior...highs,mids, lows, dynamics? want to know whether I should restore 10-15. If its just tonal balance I find that difficult to chase.
Sonically superior in terms of dynamics, involvement & presentation..
